Q1.
How much is it to book a party bus?
A. Every event is different and the price varies depending on which bus you want, the timings, locations, number of passengers and the type of event so we can email you some questions and when we receive your answers we will give you some price options. There is an approximate price guide on our website however we do add surcharges for any extra services you require and also to get from our depot to you for the 1st pickup and back after the last drop off.
We can also design a package to suit your budget so give us a try!
Q2.
Where can we go and what can we do?
A. It's up to you as long as it's legal and within a 100km radius of Sydney! Longer trips are by special request only.
Q3.
What is the maximum amount of passengers you can carry?
A. For long party bookings where alcohol is involved we only allow a maximum of 33 passengers on the double decker and from 21 to 63 passengers on our single deckers depending how many seats you require. Also for direct transfers, weddings, corporate events and any events that do not involve alcohol we can take larger groups on the double decker.
Q4.
Are their limitations on BYO alcohol?
A. The consumption of BYO alcohol by our passengers is at our discretion and under our responsible control and depends on each individuals behavior. We will not tolerate anyone behaving inappropriately or breaking our reasonable safety rules. Please read our 'on board rules' and terms and conditions. We also do not allow any type of glass, glasses or glass bottles on board. Cans, flasks, plastic containers and casks only. Bottles of champagne and wine are permitted by special request to us by email only. You must bring your own plastic cups and ice.
Q5.
Can we eat, smoke, bring party products, glass, glasses or bottles on board?
A. You may eat on the lower deck of the double decker only, provided you are paying a $100 charge for cleaning, if you make a mess with food or party products you may lose part or all of any cash bond paid unless you clean it up. W e also have a variety of catering packages , it starts at $20 per person plus a $50 delivery fee so ask us to email you the options. If you want to bring your own food to eat on board we only charge the $100 cleaning/admin fee and you must supply your own utensils, plates etc. We do not allow bottles, glasses or anything made of glass (except limited champagne and wine by emailed request only for certain events) or anything that will make a lot of mess. Any food must be in strong sealed containers. No smoking or drugs on board by law, cigarettes also burn holes in our vinyl seats and we will smell the smoke if anyone lights up! We can make stops for passengers to smoke off board.
Q6.
Can we dance on the bus or use the stairs/steps?
A. You can only dance on the double decker bus or use the stairs when it is safely parked in the relevant area and you are told you can by our staff. The single deckers do not have dance floors.
Q7.
Can we change the plan before or on the day/night of the event?
A. Only if it is ok with our staff and does not affect other plans or bookings that day or night. You may also have to pay extra in cash. Please do not insist or argue if you are told no!
Q8.
Is there a bond to pay in case of mess or damage?
A. We do charge a $200, $300 or $400 cash bond on our buses (depends on the bus and the type of booking) except in certain bookings which we will advise you on if you book. This bond will be detailed in the quote and is to cover any damage, theft or unreasonable mess and is payable and refundable in cash on the day or night if there are no incidents of that nature.
Q9.
Can we bring our own music?
A. You may bring Cd's for the double decker however the single deckers all have different music systems that will be detailed in the quote that we send you. You may also bring a portable stereo with or without an ipod on the single deckers however we do not take financial responsibility for personal effects.
Q10.
Can we bring an ipod and/or stereo?
A. You can on the double decker and we also have our own ipod and our stereo system. If you have booked a single decker, please refer to the quote as the music systems differ on each bus. You may also bring a portable stereo and ipod on the single deckers however we do not take financial responsibility for personal effects.
Q11.
How many pickups, stops and drop offs can we have?
A. It is up to you however we prefer 1 initial pickup and 1 final drop off as it is much easier to organise your event and you get the maximum amount of time to enjoy the bus. We can have as many stop offs as your booking time allows however remember you need to factor in extra time for each pickup, stop off and drop off due to crowd control.
Q12.
Can we have other businesses involved on the Bus e.g. caterers, strippers, musicians, magicians, entertainers?
A. Yes but only by prior arrangement through us and we charge a $100 administration fee. You must book and pay the agent directly then supply the contact details of the agent to us well before the event so we can liaise with them regarding timings & locations. No surprises please!!!
Q13.
How far in advance should we pay our deposit and balance for the bus?
A. We advise you to pay your deposit as soon as possible as our buses are very popular and we operate on a '1st pay 1st served' basis. We always have 3 or more quotes out per bus for every Friday and Saturday. You can pay the balance at the start of the event in one cash payment (please have it ready, in order and avoid using coins) OR please refer to the payment details on the quote when we send it.
Q14.
Do you have toilets on your buses?
A. No however we can make stops for passengers to use toilets off board. We stop as soon as it is safe to do so at an acceptable location. Please do not hassle our staff if we can't stop straight away! Passengers should use a proper toilet before they board at each pickup.
Q15. Do you have air conditioning or heating on the buses?
A. Not on the double decker due to it's age (1949) or the larger single deckers (except the windscreen heater) so open a window or bring a coat, but we do have air conditioning and heating on the 21 seater single deckers.
Q16. Do you have eskies and bins on the buses?
A. We have four 65 liter eskies and 2 plastic bins on the double decker and we have 2 large plastic bins on the single deckers for drinks and empties.
Q17. Can we have a sign or banner put on the buses?
A. Yes however no more than 2 meters by 2 meters unless it's for advertising or marketing events. We can price to get it done for you or you can get it made out of strong vinyl material with a 10mm eyelet in each corner and cord to attach it with at the pickup point. Nothing rude or offensive though! Things like 'Just married' or 'Happy 40th' etc are fine.
Q18. Can we have a ribbon on the bus for weddings?
A. Yes we can organise this for a fee of $50 payable in advance.
Q19. Can we decorate the bus?
A. Only if it does not make a mess and you can only do this within the time frame you have booked the bus for. You must also clear away and dispose of decorations before the end of the booking or you may lose part of the bond.
Q20. Do we get free VIP entry to clubs, pubs and venues on our event?
A.Yes but only for 'female groups of legal drinking age' and/or 'mixed gender groups of legal drinking age' . VIP and/or free entry does not apply to 'bucks groups' and/or 'male dominated groups'. For this service you must let us know where you want to go and when and email us a passenger list of 'full names' at least 3 days prior to the booking, however please note:
Although we can get free VIP entry to some clubs and do inform venues of our intended visit, we do not guarantee entry to any venue as it depends on the managements policy and each individuals and group behavior at the time of arrival and is at the discretion of the door staff on the day or night especially with 'bucks' groups. We do however have an excellent reputation with most venues in Sydney and want to keep it that way so let your group know to behave on arrival or face being refused entry!
Q21. Can we make suggestions for our booking and have special requests?
A. Absolutely, that's what 'the
britstop'™ is all about!
